PyPI Halts Sign-Ups Amid Surge of Malicious Package Uploads Targeting Developers

The maintainers of the Python Package Index (PyPI) repository briefly suspended new user sign-ups following an influx of malicious projects uploaded as part of a typosquatting campaign.
